On February 25 and 26, two members of West Mead #1 VFC attended Albion Volunteer Fire Department‘s Winter Training Seminar in Albion, Pennsylvania, instructed by Traditions Training, LLC. Day 1 focused on Engine Company Ops and Tactics while day 2 focused on Truck Company Tactics. Members from many fire departments in surrounding counties attended the two-day event. Instructors Nicholas Martin (Battalion Chief of Training) from the Columbia Fire Department and Dan Doyle (Firefighter) from the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire led the course with training on water supply and nozzles as well as techniques on search and rescue, laddering, and forcible entry.
