This week for drill West Mead #1 joined East Mead’s Chief Eric Coston and Assistant Chief Dan Bollis for a driving tour of East Mead’s first-due district. Since Department 28 has been added to East Mead’s grids for water supply on some second-alarm structure fires, we wanted more familiarity with water supply options. Led by Chief Coston in squad 9-18, engines 28-13, 28-12, and 28-11 visited creeks, ponds, and dry hydrants in East Mead Township that could serve as rural water supply in case of fire.
