While several members were training on water movement with mutual aid departments, West Mead 1 divers and swift water personnel trained with the Crawford County Scuba Team. The evening’s training focused on deploying divers and working search areas. Divers spent the evening recovering 4″ clay pigeons from the bottom of the pond. Tenders worked on diver dressing and managing search areas along with the underwater communications equipment.

Three more members from West Mead #1 began Essentials class at the Liberty Street station. The class sponsored by Scuba has students from Departments 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 23, 27, 28, and 29. Good luck to all of the students as they begin this course. Class will end sometime in September with live fire training.
