This week’s drill focused on rehearsing basic vehicle extrication evolutions. With severe weather just to our north in Erie County, members briefly reviewed scene size-up, rescuer and patient safety, and stabilization. Following this review members completed a roof flap, door removal, forcible entry, and dash lift before ending the training early due to a tornado warning. While 28-12 and 28-13 were returning to station, West Mead departments #1 and #2 responded to Meadville Forge for a fire alarm. Shortly after returning from the alarm, 28-12 and 28-14 began responding to severe weather-related incidents in the township. All equipment and manpower returned to station just before 1:00 AM.

West Mead #1 thanks Lincoln Recycling for their continued support of firefighter training.
