On June 26 West Mead #1 was dispatched to Thurston Road for an initial report of tree and wires down, blocking the road. After responding with 28-14, 28-R1 reported the tree was catching fire on the wires and requested an engine. Crews provided traffic control and monitored the situation until the power company arrived to shut down the power lines and remove the tree.
