This week’s drill was hands-on practice for drivers, operators, and firefighters, with newer operators getting time behind the wheel of 28-11 and 28-13. Firefighters practiced pulling cross-lay preconnects, and operating and advancing charged hoselines single-handedly.

Prospective pump operators complete hours of driving and pumping time on an engine before they are approved by senior officers to operate that engine on incidents.
