At 7:56 PM West Mead #1 was dispatched with West Mead Police and Meadville Ambulance to Arthur Street (near Forest Green Estates) for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival 28-12 and 28-13 crews found a female patient who had been attempting to assist her friends in pushing a car when the vehicle rolled backwards, causing her lower legs to become pinned in the passenger front door as well as the door to be pinned against a guard rail. 28 personnel were assisted by a towing company that pulled the car away from the guard rail so that the female could be extricated from the vehicle. Meadville Ambulance transported the patient to Neason Hill Elementary where she was flown by STAT MedEvac to Hamot Shock Trauma Center. 28 personnel were also assisted by West Mead Police on scene.
