The Crawford County Local Emergency Planning Commission along with the Crawford County Office of Emergency Services held a full scale emergency training session at Lord Chemical in Saegertown. West Mead #1 participated in the exercise by sending 28-13 as the 2nd alarm RIT company. 28-13 responded to staging on Route 198 outside of Lord Chemical. Once at staging 28-13 was deployed to gate 3 to assist with a simulated accident that included injuries, entrapment, and a chemical leak. 28’s RIT crew went to work supporting Cambridge and West Mead #2 while 28-13 secured water supply from Hayfield Fire and engines from 3 and 29.

After the completing the training exercise all departments reported back to Saegertown’s station to meet with evaluators and review the response.
