This week’s training focused on fundamentals. With crews staged about 30 seconds away from the Liberty St. station, they were notified of a scenario and responded as they would for an actual incident. Officers on each engine communicated and assigned tasks based on the incident, and as the crew arrived, tasks were completed at “game speed.” Scenarios included search and rescue, truck company operations, and setting up a draft/water supply. Following the training senior members and officers shared thoughts and observations. The crews worked hard and communication was terrific.
