Following a regional floodwatch, West Mead #1 responded to two additional calls related to flooding in the township. First was a public service detail pumping a flooded basement on Green Mountain Street. The crew used two sump pumps, several brooms, and a portable wet/dry vacuum to remove water from the basement. Next, the department was asked to assist the township roadmaster with a tanker to finish clearing a blocked culvert on Saybrook Road. Engine 28-11 hauled two loads of water from the township building to the road crew equipment on Saybrook.
