At 1:00 AM West Mead #1 was dispatched with West Mead #2, Vernon Central, Saegertown, and Meadville Ambulance to assist Meadville Central with a working structure fire on Cole Drive. Engine 28-13 responded from Alden Street station to the scene, a mostly exterior fire involving a two-story split-level wood frame residence. Before 28-13 arrived on scene, Meadville Central reported the fire was knocked down and requested the West Mead departments to assist with overhaul. Meanwhile, Saegertown arrived on scene to provide RIT (rapid intervention team) and Vernon Central stood by at Meadville Central’s station. West Mead #1 personnel assisted with scene lighting, overhaul, and cleanup.

No injuries were reported, and all 28 units returned to service by 2:22 AM.
