On November 24 West Mead #1 hosted an SCBA readiness drill with mutual aid departments West Mead #2, East Mead, and Blooming Valley.
High-Rise Pack Training with Meadville Central
West Mead #1 members met up with firefighters on duty at Meadville Central to train on deploying high-rise packs with standpipe systems.
Training with Vernon Township VFD
On October 20 West Mead #1 met up with Vernon Township VFD to train on flowing water to Station 27's Tower 27-9.
Joint Training with West Mead #2
West Mead #1 was invited by West Mead #2 for an evening of training on roof ventilation, ladders, and SCBA at their station on Ryan Road. Personnel from both departments were paired up and split into three groups that rotated through three training evolutions.
Ambulance Tour
On September 22 Rescue Chief Jayme Corey offered the members of West Mead #1 a hands-on tour of an ambulance from Meadville Area Ambulance Service.
Tower Training with Meadville Central
On September 15 West Mead #1 and Meadville Central joined forces to train on elevated master streams, tanker shuttle, and defensive firefighting operations at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex.
