After training hard for the past several months, the firefighters of West Mead #1 decided to take a night and help one of our members. After meeting for the regularly scheduled training session, the officers shared what was on tap for the evening. Without hesitation two engines left the station to help another member replace his garage roof. Often the fire service is thought of as a brotherhood; tonight was a perfect example of what that looks like. Thank you, Department 28!
That’s really awesome! I sure hope you had at least one roofer/general contractor helping you though, it’s very easy to make small mistakes that become big problems down the road when it comes to roofing.
Good suggestion, Steve. We did. A few guys have worked as roofers for several years, and it was a pretty simple job.
