At 4:52 PM West Mead #1 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with no injuries on Barton Road. Engine 28-13 responded to the scene while Chief 28 blocked eastbound traffic on Barton Road at Livermore Road. The vehicle was a compact Suzuki X90 with damage indicating a rollover after an initial front-end impact. Two mailboxes were struck and damaged, and a traffic sign was also knocked down. 28-13 set up traffic control and deployed flares east and west of the incident. Meadville Ambulance was requested for patient evaluation. Pennsylvania State Police and West Mead Police arrived and investigated the incident. 28 personnel collected information on the driver and vehicle and handled traffic control until Leonard’s Auto Service removed the vehicle.

Department 28 returned to service at 6:04 PM.
