At 10:26 AM West Mead #1 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of Barton and Livermore. Rescue Chief Jayme Corey and Assistant Chief Craig Lauer responded directly to the scene, followed by Engines 28-13 and 28-12. Department 28 personnel assisted the uninjured but entrapped driver from the cab of her vehicle and secured a second vehicle that was still obstructing the roadway. Engine 28-11 provided traffic control at the intersection of Barton and Alden until one lane was reopened. Leonard’s Towing removed both vehicles.

All 28 units returned to service by 11:39 AM.
