West Mead #1 was dispatched to assist West Mead #2 with a working structure fire on Allegheny Street. Vernon Central, Meadville Central and Meadville Ambulance were also dispatched as part of the alarm. West Mead #1 responded 28-11, 28-12, 28-13, and 28-14 to the incident. 28-12 arrived on location and provided water to 29-8 along with manpower for operations. 28-11 secured water supply on Baldwin Street and completed a forward lay to the scene. 28-14 responded from Saegertown with members on the department that just completed a 16-hour course on basement fires. 28-13 responded to the scene and then was moved to Meadville Central’s station to provide coverage for the city of Meadville and West Mead Township while units operated on Allegheny Street.
