At 7:06 PM West Mead #1 was dispatched for a miscellaneous fire on Franklin Pike, a small shed on fire with an exposure of another shed. Engines 28-12, 28-13, and 28-11 responded to the scene of the fire, about 100 yards off the roadway. Per the homeowner’s request, the first shed was allowed to burn but the second shed was protected. Firefighters used several water fire extinguishers and a backpack water tank to cool the side of the exposure.

All 28 units returned to service by 8:00 PM.
