West Mead #1 places a great deal of emphasis on the importance of family. This week for training our members invited their families to attend a weekly training and see what goes on every Tuesday night at the fire station. Members and their families ate pizza and snacks together at the Liberty Street station before moving to the West Mead Township building to train on vehicle extrication and vehicle fires. With their loved ones watching, members conducted extrication evolutions using the hydraulic rescue systems on 28-12 and 28-13. Immediately after completing the rescue scenario, the crews left the property and returned to multiple vehicles on fire.
The members of West Mead #1 would not be able to provide services without the support of our loved ones at home. Thank you for your sacrifices that you make on a daily basis by supporting our firefighters.
West Mead #1 also thanks Lincoln Recycling for donating the two vehicles used in the evening’s training.
