August is a busy month for West Mead #1, with our annual ice cream social on August 3, a fundraiser cruise-in on August 15 at Ranz, and fire standby with West Mead #2 at the Crawford County Fair August 22-29. The members and their families were invited to bring food for a family night at Alden Street station. A member brought firewood, others brought roasting sticks and picnic supplies, a few brought games, and we enjoyed a meal and some downtime together.
