Members from both West Mead departments trained together this week on pump operations. Crews established a draft with 29-1 and 28-12. The two West Mead engines then supplied 29-2 and 28-11. Pump operators on 28-11 supplied 3 hand lines and worked on maintaining a constant flow while switching from tank water to a supply line from 28-12. The 29 engines deployed several portable monitors as well as two engine-mounted deck guns. After training crews returned to West Mead 2’s station to review the training session. Thank you, West Mead 2, for inviting us to train.
