West Mead #1 was dispatched with West Mead #2 and Randolph at 2:26 AM to assist Cochranton with a structure fire on US 322. Crews responded in 28-13 and 28-11 from Liberty St Station and 28-12 from Alden St Station. Arriving on scene, the 28-13 crew established a defensive attack using a 2 1/2″ blitzfire. 28-11 and 28-12 were used to shuttle water from downtown Cochranton, while crews assisted with fire suppression and overhaul. Other departments assisting with the call included Meadville Central, Vernon Township, Utica, and East Mead.

At 6:32 AM the department was dispatched to assist Cochranton with a rekindle at the US 322 fire scene. 28-13 responded and helped with shuttling water to Randolph’s tanker.

At 8:08 AM the department was dispatched with West Mead #2 for a chimney fire on Townline Road in our first-due area. 28-12 responded from Alden St and 28-13 left the Cochranton water shuttle to help with the call. Crews used dry-chemical bombs to extinguish the fire. All units returned to service shortly after 9:00 AM.
