West Mead #1 was dispatched to Cochranton Road on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at 05:46 am for a report of debris on the roadway. 28-12, 28-13, and 28-14 responded with 10 members.

Upon arrival, units found tar for asphalt material in the westbound lane of Cochranton Road, which had leaked from a tractor-trailer heading into Meadville. 28 units provided traffic control and shut down the westbound lane on Cochranton Road between McHenry Street and Franklin Pike while crews worked to clean up the material.

Dept 28 was back in service at 08:38 AM.
