Shortly after 8:00 p.m. divers and line tenders from West Mead #1 responded with the Crawford County Scuba Team to the North Pier on Presque Isle State Park (Erie County) to assist West Lake Fire Department and the United States Coast Guard with a water rescue. Once on scene divers and tenders boarded a coast guard vessel and began searching an area identified by State Police sonar. The recovery was made shortly before midnight with divers and tenders returning to quarters shortly after 3:00 am.
