On November 27 Department 28 was dispatched for a brush fire with exposure of a fuel oil tank. 28-12 and 28-13 responded.

Upon arrival 28-12 crew found a large refuse pile fully involved with 20-30mph winds blowing the flames toward the tank. Crews stretched a hose line to the area and cooled off the fuel oil tank.

Dept 28 crews then assisted the homeowner by keeping the tank cooled off until the pile burned down to a safe level so that the fuel oil tank would no longer be in danger.
