Just before 9:00 pm West Mead 1 was dispatched with Meadville Ambulance and Pennsylvania State Police for a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident. According to dispatch from Crawford County Department of Public Safety, the incident involved injuries and entrapment. 28-12 and 28-13 responded with a crew of 12. Units arrived on scene to find one vehicle with moderate to heavy damage with confirmed entrapment. 28-12 went to work stabilizing the vehicle and securing the electrical system, then began extrication. 28-13 arrived and deployed a hand line for protection and assisted with extrication of the single patient, who was being cared for by Meadville Ambulance. PSP completed the investigation and Geneva Truck & Equip. arrived to remove the vehicle.

28 returned to service just before 10:30 pm.
