On September 22 Rescue Chief Jayme Corey offered the members of West Mead #1 a hands-on tour of an ambulance from Meadville Area Ambulance Service (MAAS). His presentation helped first responders become more familiar with emergency medical equipment and processes so they can assist ambulance crews more effectively as needed on motor vehicle accidents and EMS calls. The tour included an overview of the contents of each compartment and demonstrations of some equipment including a stretcher and stair chair.
